There's an interesting story in ancient Hindu scriptures that explores the philosophy of human perception
Your eyes can deceive you
Hello my friend,
Welcome to another edition of Simpler Sundays by VyasSpeaks.
First things first - We won the first prize! 🤩
Last week, I shared a short story with you in the featured post. I had mentioned that I wrote that story for the short story contest organized by MyndStories.
To my surprise, the story not only got shortlisted but also won the first prize.
As I said last week as well, I’m not sure if fiction writing is my cup of tea. But this unexpected win gave me a massive confidence boost. Maybe I should continue writing more such stories.
I’m also glad about the fact that I shared the story with you guys first. The story will also be featured in the MyndStories podcast soon and I’ll share the link whenever that goes live. But till then, if you didn’t read the story last week, you can read it here.
But enough talk about last week.
For this week’s featured post, I’ve tried something very different. This is a story that I wanted to share for the past few weeks but the biggest challenge was the research part. I didn’t want to make any mistakes when referencing Hindu literature.
So, if you are someone who’s well-versed in Hindu literature, feel free to reach out and correct me in case you find any discrepancies in this post.
That said, let me know what you think of this. I hope you find this post valuable.
Happy reading!
