The salesman - An inspirational short story on achieving life goals
A wonderful life lesson taught by a salesman
Hello my friend,
Welcome to another edition of Simpler Sundays by VyasSpeaks.
The Fifa World Cup will begin today and I can’t be more excited. For all football lovers, the World Cup is the biggest tournament there is. There’s nothing quite like it.
Before I started watching club football, the only games I used to watch on TV were the world cup matches. So, it holds a special place. Moreover, before pivoting to self-help content through VyasSpeaks, I used to write football articles. I even managed to publish a few articles on some decently big websites like Fansided and Sportskeeda.
So this World Cup would be an opportunity for me to again revel in football. It’s going to be a fun month. I am supporting Portugal (because of the G.O.A.T. Cristiano Ronaldo) and England (because of Manchester United). However, Brazil, Argentina, and France are favorites for this year’s tournament.
Let’s see how it goes. Will you be watching the World Cup? If yes, which teams are you supporting?
That said, let’s move to this week’s featured post.
Today, I am sharing a short story that took me 5-6 hours to conceptualize, write, and create. But it was an extremely satisfying experience. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
P.S. - The inspiration for this post stuck me when I was watching an anime called ‘Kotaro Lives Alone’. Beautiful show by the way. It’s only a 10-episode series with each episode being not more than 25 minutes. It is a such wholesome and beautiful show. I cried in almost every episode.
See you next Sunday ❤️
