In a world obsessed with quick success, this real-life story will teach you the value of patience
A gentle reminder to be more patient when chasing your goals
Hello my friend,
Welcome to another edition of Simpler Sundays by VyasSpeaks.
Probably the biggest and the only personal news I want to share in this week’s edition is that I took up a writing challenge last week.
I decided to push myself and build a consistent writing habit by taking up a 30-day writing challenge.
I’ve decided that for the next 30 days, I’ll write one new post every day and post it on my LinkedIn. I’ll primarily be writing tech news and tech-related posts to improve my knowledge of the tech industry.
But there will also be a few VyasSpeaks posts (uplifting content) to not make it too monotonous. But to be honest, right now, more than the content, it’s important to build a consistent writing habit.
Today, in the morning, I posted the 5th post in a row. 25 more to go now.
Wish me luck!
Talking about this week’s featured post, today I share the real-life story of a famous artist which has an important lesson about embracing slow growth - a much-needed quality in these times.
I hope you enjoy this.
Happy reading!

Movie/Series recommendation of the week
For this week’s recommendation, I would like to suggest watching the TV series called ‘After Life’ created by the legendary Ricky Gervais.
A fair disclaimer first - Some of you might not like this because of its slow nature. The show might seem a bit too slow and odd in the first two or three episodes. But if you sit through it, it has a wonderful payoff.
It’s wholesome and emotional at times, making it one of the better-made shows in recent years.
It’s the story of a middle-aged guy dealing with the loss of his long-time partner. The premise itself might seem boring, especially for younger audiences. But trust me, if you would like to watch something different and wholesome, this show is a good bet.
Also, each episode is less than 30 minutes long and there are only 6 episodes in total. So, you can easily finish the first season in a single sitting.
{If you do end up watching any of the shows/movies I recommend, I would love to know your views and how you felt watching it.}
