From Selling Oranges to Winning Padma Shri: Here’s the Inspiring Story of Harekala Hajabba
We all can learn from this humble fruit vendor
Hello my friend,
Welcome to another edition of Simpler Sundays by VyasSpeaks.
First things first - Let’s discuss the elephant in the room. It’s NOT SUNDAY.
Yes, I hear you. Super sorry for the suuuper delay in this week’s edition. Sending the Simpler Sundays on a Monday just doesn’t seem right.
I am sorry. As always I had planned to send this one yesterday. But I spent the entire day changing the design language of my content.
As a creator, I am sometimes guilty of spending an extraordinary time on arguably trivial things (read - fonts, images, design, etc. etc.).
Anyway, as you’ll see in this week’s featured post, I am trying a different approach with my content visuals. For the time being, I am moving away from using illustrations and instead looking to add classical paintings to give the posts a different feel.
It’s just an experiment so I’m not sure how this change will land. But you can keep an eye on my Instagram and let me know your thoughts about the design change.
That said, another piece of news is that I had to unfortunately postpone the workshop (again) due to some external circumstances. But positively, this Saturday I’ll be finally hosting my writing workshop.
If you want to register, feel free to reply to this email. I’ll then add you to the waitlist for the next workshop.
And now, coming to the highlight of this newsletter - the featured post. Today, I share an inspiring story of a humble fruit vendor who was honored with Padma Shri in 2020.
Hope you enjoy this post. Also, let me know your views on this new design.
Happy reading!
If you enjoy the content I share, feel free to follow me on Instagram or LinkedIn.
See you next Sunday ❤️
With love,
