As I inched closer to recovery, I realized that humans possess a superpower
It's good to be back + An exciting announcement
Hello my friend,
Welcome to another edition of Simpler Sundays by VyasSpeaks.
Sorry for being MIA for the past few weeks. Unfortunately, I fractured my arm and so I was forced to take a break from writing.
I did talk about it on LinkedIn as well as on Insta. But if you missed that, well, this was the reason I couldn’t send the newsletter.
I’m not sure if you missed reading Simpler Sundays but I sure missed writing it. No wonder the first thing I wrote after recovering from the injury was this newsletter.
It feels good to be back.
.
During my time off, I did watch an abnormal number of movies and shows. But I also spent a lot of time thinking about the direction I want to take with my writing. I thought of new content pillars as well as different posting schedules. I researched some tools to automate some of the posting-related tasks so I could instead focus more on the writing aspect.
One of the biggest decisions I came up with was to finally put myself out there and pursue something that I have thought of for a very long time - teaching.
Therefore, I’m so excited to announce my first-ever writing workshop. Before sharing the news with everyone else on social media, I wanted to share it with my newsletter subscribers.
It’s going to be an online workshop on personal storytelling. The goal is to work with a small batch of people and help them improve their storytelling skills. I specifically chose ‘Personal Storytelling’ as I believe it can be a powerful tool for anyone looking to create an impact. Sharing your personal stories can not only help build your personal brand but also help you with scaling your business, getting clients, getting investors, or simply improving your emotional well-being.
The use cases are many. But in this 2-hour online workshop, our goal would be to set the right foundations for writing personal narratives.
The workshop is ideal for beginners and non-writers who shy away from telling their stories to the world. It is also good for those who already write stuff online but want to incorporate personal storytelling into their craft.
As you can see, initially, I’m only planning to work with a small batch of 5 people. So, if you want to book your spot, reply to this email and reserve your spot. One person reached out to me when I was conceptualizing this workshop and asked for my help with his writing. So, one spot is already filled and I am looking for 4 more people to join my first workshop.
.
That said, let’s come to this week’s featured post. This week I am sharing the story of an interesting realization I had while I was recovering from my injury.
Hope you enjoy this one.
As I always say - Happy reading!
If you enjoy the content I share, feel free to follow me on Instagram or LinkedIn.
See you next Sunday ❤️
With love,
