An old hermit taught a young man the secret to a happy life
A short story that shows the one thing that's key to a happier life
Hello my friend,
Welcome to another edition of Simpler Sundays by VyasSpeaks.
A personal update to begin with - I’m leaving my full-time job to move back to my hometown in the hills. Going forward, I’ll be a full-time freelance content writer and would be looking for opportunities in the same.
But it also means that I’ll finally get more time to work on VyasSpeaks. I have a few plans for VyasSpeaks like doubling down on content creation, a book collaboration, and a live event verticle that I might finally start.
These are all just plans for now and I don’t know how things will turn out. But let’s hope for the best.
That said, what’s going on in your life? Let’s chat.
Talking about this week’s featured post, today I share a story that I wrote by myself. In most cases, I pick up a real-life story and retell it in my own words. But today, I’ve written something from scratch. It’s still in non-fiction territory but think of it as creative non-fiction.
The storytelling style here is inspired by a book that I’m currently reading.
I had a great time writing this one. I hope you enjoy reading it too.
Happy reading!
See you next Sunday!
With love,
Shikhil Vyas
